Atom.com, a digital comedy network of MTV Networks, has announced the premiere of “Nick’s Big Show.” This new six-episode mockumentary, available now at Atom.com and NicksBigShow.com, follows comedian Nick Thune’s performance.
“I’ve done comedy – so people are expecting me to make them laugh,” said Thune. “Now I want to make people laugh because they’re crying so hard.”
Thune, who has appeared on “The Tonight Show,” in his own “Comedy Central Presents” special, and in big-screen features including “Knocked Up,” is joined in “Nick’s Big Show” by series regulars including Kate Micucci, Nick Kroll (“I Love You Man,”) AD Miles (head writer, “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,”) T.J. Miller (“Cloverfield,”) Mike O’Connell and Paul Scheer (“Human Giant”).
The series was directed by Luke and Jeremy Jackson (directors of the new independent release “Highway 61″). In addition, Thune can be seen in the feature film “EXTRACT,” opposite Jason Bateman, Ben Affleck, Mila Kunis and Kristen Wiig for Miramax Films.
The launch of “Nick’s Big Show” is sponsored by “Andy Richter Controls the Universe.” The Complete Series DVD release is available today, March 24.
In coming weeks, “Nick’s Big Show” is expected to be distributed to consumers across Atom’s multiplatform distribution network, including the “Atom TV” series on COMEDY CENTRAL, mobile phone partners including Verizon and AT&T and other leading Internet destinations including iTunes, AOL, Dailymotion, and Xbox Live.
Atom.com, a division of Viacom’s MTV Networks, is a digital comedy network for young men that reaches consumers on the Atom.com Web site and through multiplatform distribution on television, mobile phones, and the Internet.
